Our oldest did year round school until 6th grade. It actually worked really well and allowed us to do vacations on off
Times. She also didn’t get tired of school.
I’m torn on this whole topic, though, as I think most of the time at school is wasted. My guess is that 25% of the time is actually useful with 75% being a waste. My children have had way less homework than I did because most of it gets done in class. I get the teachers use that time with the students that need it, but to me, additional time in school just forces students to sit quietly while other students are getting help.
