UCLA was not good. UCLA was great. UCLA showed themselves to be a Top 3
team. What really matters is how good you are in March. And never has there been a year when bidu of work models that start out biased towards prior season results could miss the mark so badly.
The lack of non conference games is why that bias did not get equalized.
Big 10 was historically bad, but prior year strength biased the polls. The PAC was historically strong, but prior year weakness biased the polls against them. ACC similar to Big 10. SEC and Big 12 both a little off the mark.
Much more Cinderella action in 2021.
And, UCLA fought through key injuries and reinvented themselves just in time gor the PAC tournament.
Juzang emerged.
