There are lots of different recruiters. Ones that work for the company filling positions (no incentive or need for “sales”). There are recruiters engaged (not contingent) and then there are recruiters that work entirely on commission/contingency (sales).
My opinion is that all sales efforts can easily introduce some form of deception as a means to close the sale. The more that is incentivized, the greater the risk. MLMs have huge incentives to sell and recruit
