Has to make large investments of time and money and can lose it. MLMs fill this void for people who want the easy way out. A way to get rich without investing hundreds of thousands of dollars and minimal effort. MLMs are successful simply because of peoples greed. MLMs give people what they want.

When someone doesn’t like the result, they blame the MLM instead of being accountable for their greed.

Sales people make more money if they can “con” someone to pay more than the last guy. I don’t see much difference. It’s all called sales.
