built in community in our wards. However, even my favorite ward took time to get known and established. And that can feel like eternity when you're alone.

I love walking 2 minutes down the street and seeing several families I like, my kids enjoy playing with, and have similar standards. One subtle disadvantage to my parent's affluence is how spaced out people are in their 'neighborhood'... literally and in spirit. People there want to be isolated, one reason for the ordinance demanding two acre minimums plot size.
