There are only a handful of schools that would do so every year. There are very few that would do so at all with Gonzaga in the conference.

Add to that the fact that BYU has some severe limitations that other schools with similar resources simply don't have to deal with.

I'd like to see us get to the tourney more than we have the last several years. But things could be a whole lot worse. I blame the non-NBA player voluntary attrition more than the coaching for our current state.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if Rose steps down after this year. It's not like he needs this job to have a comfortable retirement. I also wouldn't be surprised if the next coach has similar or worse results even if he is one of CB's favorite candidates.
