If it is ever proven that CTE is a threat to all college football players, not just a few, then maybe BYU will drop football in the name of safety.  If football is really that dangerous, they should. 

The University has reasons to exist beyond being a proselyting tool for the church.  So does the football program.

I have a hunch all of college football will be in serious trouble someday soon, but BYU will be playing football until the bitter end, perhaps even beyond.
