I do think he'd be a good hire, but as far as I can tell, one article and a couple tweets mentioned him as an option and that's it. There are so many other similar (and perhaps even better) candidates that we could look at, that I just don't understand why the fan base has just glommed on to Stitt. What about Buster Faulkner the OC at Arkansas State who was also OC at Middle Tennessee who led an offense that was 11th in yardage and 15th in points, and is also making 200K (in our price range). What about up and comer Graham Harrell who played and coached under Mike Leach, and has made a name for himself this year at North Texas with a top 20 offense in his first year, and is making about the same as Buster is? Or my personal favorite, what about Shannon Dawson who was OC at Southern Miss this year, Kentucky 2 years ago and West Virginia for 4 seasons. He's had a rough patch recently (although his rough patch is much better than our rough patch) but is only making 50K a year and would likely be happy for someone to steal him? All I'm saying is there are a lot of good options out there and coming to CB and seeing at least one Stitt top ten comment every day has been confusing.
