confidence in him come from? He wasn't highly recruited at all. We picked him up from a JC. He isn't a scholarship kid. There hasn't been a lot of talk about him tearing it up in practice. In fact, when you talk to people who are at practice, he doesn't do much at all. For some reason, fans are excited about this kid and act like he is in the mix of QBs we are planning on being contributors. There wasn't ever really an expectation he would be a contributor.

Are we just hoping anyone can do it? Is it to that point? If that's the case, I guess I get it but would be kind of like Green Bay Packers fans hoping they bring back Cody Pearson to be the spark they need for their offense. It's just not the guy to put your hopes in.
