I don't fault Nelson for playing hurt.

Guys play hurt all the time. Coaches need to have some sort of criteria they use to judge how much the injury will affect performance.

If a guy will not make the injury worse and he wants to play the coach has to determine if the guy is 50% or 95% or whatever.
