Thanks for the post James. Your words couldn't be more true. I am Jake's youngest brother in law Andy. I had the opportunity to go to multiple home and away games with Jake to watch our Cougars play. Those will always be cherished memories of mine. Some of the away games we went to were Mississippi, Notre Dame, Utah, Arizona, USU, and the Vegas Bowl, to name some off the top of my head. Despite a win or a loss from our team Jake always remained upbeat and optimistic about our Cougs (something that does not come so easily for myself and others). He was patient with me while my Cougar testimony wavered in High School and was thrilled when his patience paid off and my testimony of the Cougars solidified after I witnessed the Beck to Harline catch in person at RES. While he always wanted our team to win I think he also understood the importance of spending time with family and having fun together. Jake is married to my oldest sister Jord and is truly a person you can't say enough good about. Through his humble example he showed me the correct way to be a husband and father. During our last interaction in person before we expressed our love for one another I asked him to look out for us and to look out for our Cougs. This remark put a smile on his face. And if I know Jake as well as I think I do he will be looking out for our Cougs if it's permissible. We will miss him dearly.
