As a side note, look at seeding for the pre-tourney ranking in 2011 and tell me
which one doesn't belong there?
Maybe the NCAA doesn't or didn't look too closely at kenpom.com.

But how many of those had only 1 top 50 win and 3 bad losses?
Mr. Scoobs

Bad losses used to mean sub 150 rpi losses - BYU doesn't have any of those

San Deigo is currently 153, but most are considering sub-100 losses "bad".
Mr. Scoobs

So the choke job to USD is the only bad loss

Only if you consider sub-150 a bad loss, unfortunately sub-100 losses don't

San Diego is #96 on Pomeroy; Pepperdine is #105.

Doesn't really matter, RPI of those teams will be the reason they are

BYU has 4 top 75 wins. Is there something sacred about top 50 RPI?

Problem is beating teams at home that aren't going to make the dance won't

Past performance in NCAA isn't a factor. BYU will only be evaluated in what they

I don't believe this

They explicitly state is is not a factor in selction or seeding. They are free
Mr. Scoobs

So why discuss RPI which Committee explicitly states is very minor?

Your own RPI isn't so important as the RPI of who you beat and who you lost to.
Mr. Scoobs

They are considering as bad sub-100 losses that they want to consider as bad

Our problem is more about lack of quality wins. Had we had no bad losses, we
Mr. Scoobs

It is only the lack of quality wins; they just feel like they have to add more
CoopDizz
3/11/15 9:46am
I think the absense of bad losses would help justify our lack of quality wins.

The two worst Boise losses happened early and due to injury
