knowing how to work hard matters more to me. a GPA should be an indicator
of that, but I don't think that it is.

I say that because I work with a lot of people who tell me that they had terrible grades in high school. Most of them didn't graduate from college. Among the hardest, smartest workers are the ones who tell me that they struggled to graduate from high school.

And yeah, I'm talking about people who make over 100k/year.

When I was younger, it surprised me. I graduated from high school and college with a very high GPA. I cared about it much more than I should have. I ended up being quite book smart, but I had no street smarts. I still struggle with that.
