I don’t have to cheer for him at all. Just like KW or BM. They WERE Cougars
who are now in positions to compete for LDS kids who would traditionally be considered BYU recruits. Pope took BYU’s best player from last year and one of its top recruits.
KW has taken too many LDS kids to count over the years. Why would I cheer for that as a BYU fan?

Because if you want what’s best for BYU you don’t want him to overly succeed and take top LDS talent. Makes perfect sens
