I have TSA pre now for several years and depending on the time of year usually try to arrive an hour early still.

But on one flight from salt Lake City to Amsterdam, I got in line at security 90 minutes before the flight and still missed it. I was flying on Miles but luckily they got me on another flight, but my bag did not arrive and it took me 3 days and several phone calls to find them.

I've missed a couple of others due to people I traveled with not calculating correctly. I've also been lucky before where I made it when I didn't think I would.

But like others have said, I'd rather be there early and just chill than Take a chance of missing the flight.
