being unused, let me introduce you to a word: GULLIBLE. Or, two words: CONFIRMATION BIAS.

CEO's are worried about productivity and the bottom line. If WFH contributes to those, WFH will continue. If WFH doesn't, WFH will end. Several big time CEO's have already planted their flag in the latter - Moynihan, Dimon, Musk, Jassy, Krishna, Dell, Stankey to name a few.
