I don't know anyone worried about empty office space. That part doesn't bother me one bit. This is just a made up stat.
Most likely it was something like 1/3 said using office space was one of the reasons they wanted people to come back, not the main reason. And even then I don't believe it. Office space is a relative blip in expenses for the majority of companies larger than 50 or so.
