I'm not sure if you'll get towed or ticketed if you park along the road.
That place was awesome though. Unfortunately, when we were there the tide was extremely dangerous. I'm not sure if/when you can actually swim in the ocean, but the tide pools at the west end were very cool. We had the place to ourselves and one other small group when we went.
