I think what you're talking about is what I would call "rec" level.

That's most of your city leagues, good for introducing kids to sports.

What I am complaining about is at the competitive level. Leagues for kids who have been playing for a few years. The competitive leagues are typically coming with non-parent coaches.

I think the problem isn't nearly as bad as the rec level.
