just happy if they paid attention to the game they were playing rather than playing with the grass or dazing off. I don’t recall any of the boys being aware of the game enough to analyze the referring, judge the referring and then complain about it.

Seems like at 8 yrs old, the overwhelming majority of the kids are more excited about the halftime and postgame snacks.
