BYU should be in over Alabama, Miami, duh.

Case for Miami: same record, BYU has better wins, better losses, losses are just as late in the season for both, BYU has better game control, etc. etc.

Case for Alabama: worse record, worse losses. They are in a 6 way tie for the fourth best conference record in the SEC. They have not separated themselves from the median SEC team. They are literally in the middle of the pack given they have both the median record and mode record. They do have a good win (or a few good ones? Idk).
