But honestly, even if BYU were to go to the Pop Tart Bowl and beat a Miami or Clemson, I don't think that'll make any difference to the CFP committee. We all know that if BYU were in a similar situation next year, the committee's not going to think, "well, gee, they beat a major brand team last year, so let's put them in this time." They'll always twist themselves and their reasoning into excluding teams like BYU if at all possible. Or maybe that's just the cynic in me.

Having said that, I'd still much prefer to face an ACC team over Colorado.
