My son attends Oklahoma State and he pointed out that the difference in Provo (and BYU fans in general) is that
they stay sober during the entire game. In most stadiums the crowd noise is constant and chaotic.
BYU is unique because the fans pay attention to the entire game, right up until the end. In LES it actually gets quiet during critical offensive points, and the fans remain aware and can do the B-Y-U chant together.
