behemoths off the freeway, and more local bakers feeding into those smaller grocers.

Kroger has full baguets 2/$3 as the normal price. Not great bread, but better than the other stuff you mentioned.

FYSA Sam's Club sells Dave's Killer Bread in a two pack. I think it's a little bit cheaper than avg grocery store.
