Whether or not this is because of its origin in physics, doesn’t really matter. The fact is, people imagine “momentum” to be a reality that it isn’t.

Is this team more likely to lose because they’ve lost confidence after their loss?

Or are they more likely to win because they are more focused and will practice better than Retzlaff and Roberts said they did last week?

Which of those is their “momentum”?
