It looks to me like they can still assess fees for the part of the co-curricular course that takes place outside of school hours.

They reclassified fund raisers to explicitly not be fees (not sure the impact of that).

They can charge for instrument rentals.

This only applies to those classes that are required for graduation.

This looks like a good bill to me that says schools can’t charge students for getting the education that the school is required to provide.
