I moved as a kid (FL to TX at 11yo, TX to PA at 15 yo). I think it was fine.
Admittedly, it is hard to compare to not moving, but I loved each place.
Personally, I prefer East coast wards. There are more chances to serve and I think the bonds with families in our PA ward were tighter than those in other places.
