Brought in some decent recruits, but if you aren't teaching OL technique, what are you doing? The HC has made some bad hires and he would probably admit that if you spoke to him privately as a friend. Limited resources make hiring the right guy hard and it is an excuse, but part of the reason.
I have made bad hires before and as the leader am ultimately responsible for my team's output. However, if you fire your CEO every time they make a bad hire, you won't have your CEO for very long, you will just churn through CEOs which is very hard on an organization.
