not only were they enforceable, but they could be "blue penciled" meaning changed if they were too broad and enforced. The NRA (Nevada Resorts Association, the lobbying group for the casinos, very powerful in Nevada as you would guess) didn't like that and passed a law through the legislature overturning this decision. Sense then, we have seen additional laws that state that the non compete has to be supported by independent consideration and that you can't enforce them against hourly employees. So basically, unless you are an executive or something, no more non competes in Nevada.
