neighbor did not.  Apparently they ran the fiber to my house, but since my neighbor said no at the time, they did not run a connectable junction, or whatever the right term is.

My neighbor, several years later, has been trying to get them to hook up fiber, and they are saying its not possible as the line doesn't go that far.

That whole story seems very far fetched, but if you go into the fiber availability search in our neighborhood, it shows availability for everyone up to my on one side, and complete absence on the other side.  So weird.
