Completely agree. They can always eject someone if they feel it was malicious
intent. But, I think this was first instituted when leagues (pro and amateur) were worried about the billion dollar lawsuits coming in. CFB went a little to draconian on their approach and now need to keep it a stiff penalty and consequence but not immediate disqualification that frequently goes over into the next game as well.
