Tech is bad, but not alone. Professional services, Pharma, Retail, Media, etc.
all with big cuts in 2024. And these are often managerial positions that don't show up in a lot of reports since they're not filing unemployment and they're finding side gigs, but are very much underemployed.
The professional services wave is especially alarming since they're on the frontlines of organizational leadership making all these decisions--consultants, bankers, lawyers, etc.
