If I had to live to Hawaii may even pick there. But it is not a first trip to Hawaii island. I did love how raw it was when you got way outside the main hubs. We hit all the popular spots and some unpopular ones, but they are just so much more spread out. North shore and mountain area is awesome Swimming with the manta rays at night is awesome I liked Hilo but it is run down and the west side is desert resorts like palm spring or St. George with beaches. If that what you want drive to St. George and save your money
