This is one I can’t prove so take it with a grain of salt if you’d like, but also realize that I am not a liar and have no reason to do so.

I have an uncle (in-law) that is a prominent businessman in the Mountain West. He’s a BYU fan (so-called) and has donated a lot to the program over the years. He and many of his high-rolling card-carrying-member compadres truly want BYU to tank so they can get a “real” HC in the program. They felt the exact same way about Bronco.

I actually have a really hard time with this kind of fan. Even though he’s been a mission president and does a lot of good things in the church, he’s the type A type that is just sure he knows everything about everything. Super charismatic but really hard for a guy like me to be around for too long. Anyway, he is certainly not the only one that feels this way about Kalani, etc.
