Sympathetic to Rachel (as she should have been) and tweeted that Rachel was “moving forward with love and compassion while advocating for change”. She absolutely used her platform to help paint BYU as a racist institution and once the damage was done, and it became obvious that it was a lie, she did absolutely nothing to correct it.

There’s nothing wrong with sharing the story. CNN, the Trib, even Governor Cox all believed her, made similar sympathetic comments to Holly, and all helped paint BYU as a racist institution. The reason no BYU fans are still mad at CNN or Cox is because they apologized. They all apologized. Any decent journalist retracts, corrects, and clarifies once they realize they’ve reported false information. She’s the only one who didn’t.

She put in a lot of time and effort to interview Rachel and let her offer her point of view and couldn’t be bothered for 30 seconds to clarify or correct. Like every other journalist did. But like you said, it’s clear that “nothing anyone can say will change your opinion”. Amazing you’re still defending her. BYU fans are absolutely right to resent Holly Rowe for this
