This^. I am often slammed from 5 or 6 AM until around 10 or 11 AM. I often have to get on calls at 11 or 12 at night.
Travel times give me some weeks that are crazy hours worked.
So yeah, I get a lot of downtime at times that a dentist is working hard at his office. I now try to manage myself and each team member to about 40 hours of work time each week. But it is very rarely a steady 9-5 schedule.
