in Europe. We update status of our software projects, what issues they are facing and what we need to carry in the US during the day.
5:30-8:30 is generally the same - then there are specific meetings to areas on the project, order fulfillment teams, purchasing teams, finance teams all coordinating status of projects.
Then the next 6-8 hours are spent actually doing the work - configuring the system, performing testing, I work with pharma clients so a TON of paperwork.
For me working from home is absolutely more efficient because I work on a global team and live in traffic heavy Southern California. I own my own business and won't take on clients who require me to come to the office more than once a month. If they don't like it it's their loss, I have been doing it for 25 years and am good at what I do compared to the standard consultant you get today.
