Except for the whining of the kids that they are being persecuted for not having an iPhone. With privacy stuff, they can get around controls so much easier (oldest had iPhone and we tried out best, but after dealing with fallout of mental health, we 'punish' our boys). Apple actually is getting sued by the gov't for monopolistic behaviors like the green text bubbles and rasterizing images to make it seem Android is bad, but it's actually Apple doing it. Rant over.
Social media as late as possible, hopefully can hold off to 16+, hoping to push until after HS graduation, but had to give some limited time on some apps. Doing better with kids 2 and 3 (boys) than with 1 (girl) on all of it. No Tik Tok. Instagram for maybe 20-30 min/day. Snap for like 5-10 min/day. They don't really want to be on Facebook. We keep an eye out for Discord. Daughter was scrolling on Pinterest (didn't realize it wasn't just pinning stuff anymore) so limited that some. It's whack-a-mole with one son on time-wasting gaming sites he finds (adhd, needs help staying on task).
