There was a definite disdain for BYU there, even from some of the members.
I was kind of puzzled that members wouldn’t like BYU. I was young then, two years after my mission. I have since experienced ALUFs and Aggie fans that have opened my eyes.
I’m not sure why folks from Wyoming dislike us so much, but I imagine it is a combination of things that have been mentioned in this thread: perceived racism, bad feelings for the Church, tired of getting trounced, etc. all coupled with group think and indoctrination (my family and friends dislike them, and so do I).
