over and over. Imagine we manage this somehow and Kalani keeps saying "I'll have to watch the film" after blinking on the sidelines, we see the same dumb decision making that costs us momentum or games, the same recruiting misses or blunders, we keep seeing dumb injuries pop up, etc.
Imagine that happens and the feeling around the program is "hey, progress. We made a bowl." Then we somehow manage 8 wins after squeaking out a bowl win (8-5) the next year, while again seeing concerning things. Then Kalani gets a 2 year extension. Then we regress again to the same 6 or 7 win seasons with a 5 win season mixed in there through the next 4 years after that before they let Kalani's contract run out.
Would you rather that happen? I personally would rather BYU win 4 games this year and Kalani gets canned.
Don't get me wrong. I love BYU and want to see 10 win seasons. I don't think that ever happens under Kalani. I don't. Sometimes you have to be really bad in order for change to happen. That's the case here.
Flame away.
