It's hard, and you're working overtime, which makes it harder! Some strategies:
We decided we couldn't do all the driving any more, after living in Europe and seeing that parents there don't do it and the kids are fine. So we limit the activities the kids are doing or chunk them together, ("I know you'd rather play tennis than soccer, but you both have to do the same sport, if you're playing a sport, and this year the sport is soccer because it's your sister's turn to choose."). We similarly limit music/dance lessons to what is close by so that the kids can walk there, or we have college students come to our home for the lessons.

Once the kids hit age 12, we give them a bike and tell them they are responsible for their own transportation. That helps a LOT to ease our driving burden. Another strategy is to do my exercise AT the kids' activities. So I'm often running around the soccer field, and doing pushups on the sidelines. Corny, perhaps, but if it's the only time I'll get to exercise that day, I've got to get the workout in.

I also usually exercise at 4 p.m. right before dinner. If my wife's worn out and isn't making dinner, then dinner waits until I get back, and it's probably something quick to make.

You just have to prioritize it ... I've realized it's basically medicine for my body as well as my emotional health. It has to happen.
