Just in that span, we had Brandon Doman, Bret Engemann, Matt Berry, and Ben Olson, all of whom were four-star (or five star) level QBs.

He was an 86 with 247. He was listed as an 84 transfer.

You're looking at his xfer rating, not his HS rating

86 was his 247 rating, but his 247 Composite was .9006 which is 4-star.
