If the HOA funds are depleted or insufficient for the community I would ask the HOA committee why that I’d the case? Are funds being unreasonably?

If an HOA committee is willing to throw someone out of their own home, they better be ready for a lot of scrutiny. If they have been wasteful or loose with HOA funds, they are morally bankrupt and possibly liable for a lawsuit.
