BYU has built in limitations that will keep most elite players from ever considering us. And that’s fine. We are t and shouldn’t aspire to be 80’s Miami.

Thats not to say we don’t have our appeal to a certain kind of recruit, some of whom are in fact elite. But we have to be willing to do some things: 1) be extremely slow to suspend or expel over the moral aspects of the honor code 2) academic paths that are sensible for football first students (include grad transfers/1 and dones), and 3) play at market rate in the NIL game

We haven’t necessarily done all of those things. It’s in our control to do all of them. If we do, there’s a path to consistent very good with the occasional shot at something better.
