IMO, federal taxes are pretty manageable as long as you stay away from foreign
investments (I generally avoid crypto too). The royal pain in the rear is when you have to file in multiple states. So, I look for investments limited to the state I live in, plus the state income tax free states like Texas, Tennessee, Florida and a few others.
