I had a similar tear. Opted to wait and see. I continued to lift with that arm but did high reps and low weight. Lots of
ice and ibuprofen. It took a year to heal and no longer hurt.
I have no issues with it 5 years later and I lift as heavy as I can go and still have no issues.
