That is very high in some markets, normal in others. Just depends. It also depends on the cost of the alternative, i.e. probate. If the average probate in your state costs you 10k, then it makes sense to pay 5k to avoid it. Also depends on what that is for. If that is for a more complex medicaid planning trust, that is a good deal. If that is a simple revocable trust, not so much. Can't really just say if that is a good deal or not. It's like buying a new AC system. Lots of different factors go into it. As I have learned first hand recently.
