There is so much fear that P2 will break away, that the ACC and Big 12 need to look more like a P2 competitively and less like a G5.

Life raft isn't accurate. Utah was always in with the Big 12. So it made sense to play their cards well and check all the options. Including the ACC.

Recruiting is the most important aspect of any college football team. Utah has historically struggled against schools with teams that had substantially better talent. Especially in high profile games when Utah's top 10 or better.

Take Utah's 2019 team. Probably the most talented ever. Was a TD favorite in all 3 games they lost...USC, Oregon, TX.

That's because the bigger brands showed up to play a top 10 team.

For the first time, Utah will have as good a talent or greater than their entire schedule. That's never happened before.

I like Utah's prospects in a conference without the blue blood, vastly superior resources, talent, coaching, etc.
