Most Utes moving to New Jersey, the only State where gas stations are required by law to offer full-service gas pumping.
"New Jersey is the only state in the United States where gas stations are required by law to offer full-service gas pumping. Customers are prohibited from pumping their own gas, and attendants must operate the pumps.

This self-service ban has been in place in New Jersey since 1949, originating from efforts by full-service gas station owners to thwart competition from cheaper, self-service stations. While most other states phased out full-service requirements by the 1990s, New Jersey has maintained its ban despite periodic attempts to overturn it.

Recent polls indicate that a majority of New Jersey residents support keeping the full-service requirement, with some viewing it as a source of state pride. However, there are also calls to lift the ban, citing potential cost savings for consumers and addressing labor shortages that have led some stations to close pumps or reduce hours due to staffing difficulties.

As of 2023, with Oregon lifting its partial self-service ban, New Jersey stands alone as the only state mandating full-service gas pumping statewide."
