One of the traditional hangups BYU school administrators have always had in the past is not allowing big money donors to earmark their contributions for a specific team or program of their choosing. It went to help all programs across the board. That sense to no longer be an issue and a lot of the traditional hangups that BYU has had over the years that were totally nonsensical seem to have fallen by the wayside. For example look how quickly BYU moved to higher KY to replace Pope. Normally that job hunt would have taken weeks and weeks and would have had a detrimental impact on the program had that been the case.
